Innervate Please

Good news, Warcraft Druids. Innervate, the highly desired druid talent to infuse raid priests with hyper mana regeneration, will be moved to a base ability, available at level 40. Eyonix, Blizzard’s flying whelp, posted that Patch 1.11 will include the change to innervate as well as a new 31-point talent. Nightshroud of the Alleria realm, new enemy of raid priests everywhere, posted: “Excellent. More freedom for Druids to spec how they please and not how the Priests please.” (Because we all know that priests get to spec however they please. Even I know that’s not true.) Here’s a fun trick to play on your guild priests, by the way. Ask them at the next raid how come they’re not shadow spec’d, you heard that spec was wtfpwnage. You should get quite a rise out of them. OMG, They Killed Kalimdor!

I hear tell there was a smidgen of a problem with the World of Warcraft servers last night, henceforth known as The Night Kalimdor Died. All I know personally is that I downloaded the minipatch, said hey to the guild, server crashed, logged back in, said hey again to the guild and was that just me, heard that it wasn’t just me but I should be glad I didn’t log in Kalimdor (as if!) because those poor SOBs are truly fucked and would I be going to ZulGrub with them assuming the server holds up.

Explained I, no, won’t be wasting my time going to ZG I had bigger fish to fry, namely a rather large download and a rather annoying patch and a rather lengthy login process and weren’t they kind of jealous and indeed, they were a little jealous. HA!

Hell, I just told them what I was up to, bragging rights and all, but I can’t tell you because thugs would show up at my door and beat my kneecaps with a bat and one thing I’ve learned is that I really need my kneecaps. So some times, I’ll be busy with that other thing that I can’t tell you about and some times I’ll be busy with Warcraft as usual.

I can tell you this about the other thing, I’ve already made some new friends. And when I say “friends”, you know I mean people that I hate.

(EDIT: Haha, I just remembered this one idiot from last night, who said (paraphrasing, but accurately), “I’ve been in a few endgame guilds that would kick you for profanity of any kind in guildchat or voicechat, top of the server type guilds”, which I figure is a COMPLETE fabrication. Try again, noob.)

Warcraft Keyrings

Coming to Patch 1.11, keyrings for … well, keys. “We’re pleased to announce that the keyring functionality has been completed and will be in place for patch 1.11. When a player first acquires a key, they will automatically acquire a keyring that will hold permanent dungeon keys.” The number of keys held scales with character level, up to 12 keys for the big boys. So, that’s up to 12 more bag/bank slots they just gave you. Couldn’t they have saved a ton of design, coding and test time by giving us three extra bag slots instead of making up shard bags, herb bags, keyrings, and whatever else is coming (reagent bags, smithing bags, quest bags, E T C)? Not as elegant, but hella lot quicker.
