They built this city on rock (and roll) in Lord of the Rings Online:

(I really hate that song, but everytime a guild officer gears up for a Ventrilo speech with “We built this guild on …”, I like to interrupt with “rock and roll?”. I’ll bet that’s really infuriating.)

This is Lord of the Rings Online. It has hobbits.

They both have elves and orcs.

… in Lord of the Rings Online:

Really, I just wanted an alt with my porn name.

So ladies, if you’re looking for a hobbit who really knows how to party, you know who to /tell.

(Anyone else surprised that LOTRO hasn’t filtered S-E-X from naming? I was. FOOLS!)

… in Lord of the Rings Online is this “statue”?

I could be misreading this but that sounds like a call to REVOLUTION! Hang the rich.

Here’s a screenshot from a recent, wretched Fornost PUGgie to whack the hilt mobs. As gaming vets, it’s always our responsibility to get the new-to-gaming noobs up to speed on how all this works. I realize that, I accept that, but after giving my short-speech about the do’s and don’ts of crowd control to the same 5 people again and again, I get a little irritated.

They never did get it, but fortunately for me, we one-shot the last hilt mob — a BAMF nemesis mob — and thank you, Jesus, I never have to go to that pisspool again.

If you’re thirsty for more arrogance and Napoleon-esque posturing, Psycho E-Bitch’s Fraxx was granted an IM audience with me last week to chat about gaming, books and cyber music: A Visit with AFKGamer’s Blogging Bad Boy.

Some highlights: the “Mithaniel Marr story”, the rest of you suck, the liberal manifestos I’m reading, and, gaming’s last dirty little secret.

Bugs:

• Players will now be able to properly destroy the infernals in the quest,”The Fel and the Furious”.
• Gladiator’s Plate Legguards: Fixed a graphical display error.
• Fixed a bug that caused some systems to see terrain holes appear in the distance.
• Stackable items retrieved from mail will no longer automatically stack in your inventory. This has been disabled pending a future patch fix.
• Players will no longer see the flickering terrain issues that were introduced with 2.1.0 when the LOD system is enabled.

Lord of the Rings Online tomorrow, until 2 pm EDT-ish, for minty fresh content and bug/nerf-ness. During downtime, players can create a character on the Roheryn (test) server and auto-magically level to 30, 40 or 50.

The patch notes as of May 30, 2007, subject to change OF COURSE, and I heard they’re fixing the Bree Town Hall grocer repair costs although I can’t for the life of me find a reference. My imaginary blog intern has the day off so I can’t blame him for this lapse in service.

Aha! I birddogged the undocumented changes myself! Unofficial Changes List.

It’s rare to find this kind of dedication and determination in the lesser blogs, but I know you’ve come to expect this kind of hard-hitting reblogging from us. The royal us, that is.

I don’t consider this spoiling the ending; I was “foreshadowing”. Big difference.
