Living Dead Girl

I’ve been busy smoking the Warcrack lately; mostly trying to scratch out a living on the hard scrabble of a land they call “quest rewards”. Christ, would it kill the NPCs to put out a little more when I run all over the planet delivering their winky dink tomes and arcane knowledge? Foton’s toon has needs, man!

Since I’m not the type to update ye olde blogge with “Dear Diary: Today I killed a raptor. It was a close fight.”, there’s been no new material. Because, I think you deserve a little more for your IP access dollar. Or, rather, your employer’s IP access dollar.

Recently, the guild had another outting of a female toon. It’s not an uncommon situation: female avatar confesses that its driven by a male player … mayhem ensues when the male avatars express outrage … shemale avatar is forced out of the guild because our guild idiots were, apparently, whacking off to pixelated fantasies instead of FARMING PHAT LEWT like they were supposed to be.

Seemed plenty obvious to me, but I’m not a noob ’round these parts.

Rumors of Rumors

I caught wind of an ebay link to a Warcraft player auction for a level 60 character. By the time my slacker e-friend sent the actual link to me, it had been shut down, but said e-friend reported that it was the original level 60 of the game.

I asked what the hell does “original” mean? Did he mean the first level 60? The first level 60 on our server? He couldn’t answer the question with enough details to satisfy even my loose sense of fair and balanced.

He added that the account had since been banned by Blizzard. I asked where did he get that info then? How did he know this? Apparently, he heard from “some dude”.

Ok, so what we have here is: Some level 60 may have been ebaying his account which might have been subsequently banned by Blizzard.

Ya, we have nothing.

Class Wars

The class wars in World of Warcraft have begun in earnest now. The Have Nots calling for nerfs and begging for more power; the Haves telling everyone to shaddup.

These type of skirmishes have been going on since time began in the virtual world, and they will continue until the last mole has been whacked, looted and skinned.

I can always tell which classes are the Haves — here’s a tip on how to quickly ID them in any game: it’s the class that remains curiously quiet, for the most part, in public forums. The Haves try not to make eye contact with the developers; they study their shoes, examine their fingernails, whistle idly while trying to appear casual and uninterested.
