Coming to a blog near you … the first stop of the evil Carnival of Gamers will be at buttonmashing.com on Thursday, May 26, 2005.

The Carnival will be a recurring showcase of the best and brightest in game blog posts as submitted by their authors, with the Carnival picking up stakes and moving to a different host each time.

An evil carnival can’t stay in any one town for too long or the townsfolk will get wise to their diabolical plot to consume everyone’s souls. That’s why the carnies never have time to shower or shave … or brush their teeth. (Just one of the MANY reasons why it’s such an appealing lifestyle.)

So, if you are interested in submitting a blog post to be included in the Carnival, please email them to me at buttonmashing@gmail.com. There aren’t any real guidelines. They certainly should be about video games in one way or another but that’s about all the guidance I have. I’m all about free speech and creativity, but let’s try to avoid the obscene, profane, racist, sexist, you get the picture. Let’s just have some fun and see where this can go.

Ya, I see it. Big problem for AFK Gamer posts right there … profanity. Not to fear, I can self-censor my way out of that, and remember kids, you can always get the full-flavored version of AFK Gamer right here in all its profane glory.
