If you played Warcrack before Christmas and now after, you know already that fresh busloads of noobs have arrived … which you also know is annoying as fuck with a whole new batch of idiots asking in the public channel where the Jasperlode mines are.

Oh, I don’t know, maybe it’s IN YOUR FUCKING QUEST LOG?!?!?!

Jeezus, after the 46th time that question’s been asked, my patience wears thin. I’ve had to create an alt character to grind another crafting skill (Foton’s toon has needs, man!), so I’ve been hanging in the noob zone again. *shudder*

I’ve also helped out a few noobs — I have a heart, just not a very generous one — whacking their moles so they can finish quests, etc. Without exception, they go running into a swarm of mobs and expect to survive. You know, instead of pulling systematically, carefully, methodically, they just dive right in and expect me to save their sorry pixelated asses.

I Won’t Say I Told You So, But …

I told you so. Again, today, with the bullshit login problems. Ordinn (Blizz dude) posts:

We understand people are experiencing login issues. Please post all relevant information in this thread.

Update – 6:20 PM PST: They are working on the issue right now. From what I understand it isn’t nearly as bad as yesterday’s issue. In fact, many people are logging in without problems, so keep trying to login.

Is he high? Relevant info? Like, that we can’t login? And, we can’t post because we can’t login? Should we post that? Like, someday when we can login?

My server just crashed while I was … let’s say, SKULKING … around where I shouldn’t have been. So I am no doubt dead. But!! This was not the worst thing that has happened to me in my virtual world today. Alas, the other crap was entirely my fault.

But that will be fodder for another time. For now, Warcrack logins are borked YET AGAIN.

**UPDATE** Weee, I am dead. Ain’t no big deal. In the old days, we used to lose at least 5 levels when we died and had to fight our way back to our bodies naked, and then we died 82 more times and we were really mad by then, and yet we still played every day, all day. Because … hell, I don’t know why. I have a body to recover, and then I’ll have to pay 12 gold to repair my stuff and that explains why I won’t have a mount until I’m level 59, even though every Tom, Dick and Pally has a free mount at level 40.

Login Servers Down Post #2349081

Hey, this taking down the login servers shit is getting as regular as the runs after an all-day drinking binge.

Let me do a quick mental calculation here: that was 3 hours ago that they admitted a problem, and although I didn’t try to login before now, I know that I can’t login at this moment, so I’ll take a guess that the login servers have been fucked for at least 3 hours today. AGAIN!

The WoW site itself is very slow as well, so maybe California is in flames right now, which makes my bitching rather petty. If I check the realm status page, it alternates between returning a Service Temporarily Unavailable page and showing all realms as up and playable!!

While California burns, and I feel ashamed of myself for complaining during their hardship, I ran across this Tyren (Blizz dude) post. (Post #8 in that thread in case I screwed up the linkage.) I don’t know the guy, but I know this much: never let them see you cry, noob. It’s like blood to sharks.
