Dare we hope? Blizzard has reportedly purchased 1500 Opteron processors to be used in new servers. Before WoW players everywhere begin to rejoice however, remember who’s running the show. For all we know Blizzard may decide to use them to run scripts to automatically nerf anything enjoyable left in WoW.
Wikipedia’s List of video games considered the worst ever seems like a project that has “Grief Me” written all over it. Worst, best, good, bad, is all so subjective with games — for every game classified as Worst, there’s sure to be a group of players that would call it Best. Of additional interest here, however, are examples of bad design and features that could kill a game: non-intuitive anything, bad graphics, buggy pathing, bad acting, didn’t invite Foton into the beta, etc.
From the Warcraft forums, Qil of the Emerald Dream realm has written a guide to managing (real life) aggro from wives: Serious Aggro Managers – The Guide. Largely, these are smoke and mirror type strats to divert the wife’s attention from how much time is being consumed by Warcraft. I’d recommend that one of the woman gamers write a similar guide for managing husband aggro, but I think we can all agree that’s just a matter of putting out platters of hotdogs and nachos and turning on the television.
