Here’s an important Warcraft safety tip. You know the little random tips that appear on the load screen when you’re entering the game? One of those is: There is no cow level. Do NOT, under any circumstance, ask in Ventrilo/TeamSpeak about the cow level. If your guild has any Diablo/Diablo II hags, Vent/TS will explode with moo’ing for several minutes. Every time someone asks in our Vent about the cow level, I rip off my headset before the mooooooo’s ruin what’s left of my post-iPod hearing and wait five or ten minutes before returning. Save your guild from wanton moo’ing, learn about The Secret Cow Level.

I ran across a Warcraft mod that I hadn’t heard of before: flagRSP, an addon for additional naming options for your characters (surnames, titles) and an enhanced friends list. The naming options are visible to anyone else running the same mod. I don’t really understand why surnames and titles are so popular in online gaming, I just know they are, and while I don’t like to run a lot of mods (bloat and all that), I would like my own title: Lord of the Idiots. Briefly, I toyed with the idea of making an alt Oneeye, King of the Blind, but LotI could apply to any of my current characters. World of Warcraft Bot

Follow the misadventures, the triumphs and the account bannings of the World of Warcraft Bot. The bot is about to begin Round 3, after 2 unfortunate bannings, and you can watch the fun on a live game cam (down as of this writing while they make adjustments to mask the bot’s identity and server). From the intro: “Confessions and exploitations of a World of Warcraft Botter. I show how it’s done, how much gold you can make and how you can powerlevel your own characters.” This is kind of like watching some dude on the freeway in a high-speed chase — will he crash? will he escape? will he /rude the news copters?
