Some pretty serious charges leveled against Sony Online in this email published last December in CBS News’ Gamecore: Star Wars Mailbag: The Sequel.
A lot of this stuff we know already — i.e. expansion zones pushed live without full itemization, etc. — but the other stuff is pretty damn snakey, even by Sony standards. To be fair, there are structural problems with the column (no clear delineation between the emails) and the charges are unsubstantiated, but such is the state of affairs with modern journalism: if someone says it, that’s good enough to print.

Super Friday

This Sunday is the Superbowl when many American televisions will be tuned to ABC at 6pm EST to watch new, expensive commercials plus some football. (That’s AMERICAN football, not soccer.) Monday, it’ll be time to pay the piper: hangover and making good on lost wagers.

And that is exactly what I’ll be doing this weekend. Don’t worry, I won’t be missing any DKP — Sunday is our offday.

If you’d like to start the Superbowl hype today while you’re at work or in study hall, read all about it at the official hype site. Or, you can watch the countdown clock on the front page. Or, CNET has a Google satellite maps guessing game where you need to identify the professional football stadium in the photos.

And, on Sunday, you can play this Superbowl drinking game with your real life friends.

Frankly, you could play a drinking game with your online friends but that’s getting into a weird area.
