There’s this series of Alliance quests in World of Warcraft where players have to talk to this Stormwind NPC who’s posing as a cheese vendor. He’s mixed up in this mess where Stormwind diplomats and royalty are missing — it’s a real rat’s nest of treachery and power struggles.

Cheez Wiz

He’s one of those quest NPCs where noobs are constantly asking his location. “For the last time, he’s in the fucking cheese shop, I know that sounds ridiculous — someone with such valuable insider information about the plot against Stormwind is living out a quiet retirement as a Cheese wiz, but it’s true, nevertheless!”

CheeseMaster

This other Alliance quest has players running back and forth in South Shore, doing errands for this lieutenant who spends all day in the local tavern. He’s knocking back ales, we’re doing all the work. Eventually, his boss gets involved and wants the drunk to personally supervise the slaughter of the locals. Of course, the lieutenant wants us to cover for him. Yet again.

Drunk Again

My priest alt is fairly skilled in the healing arts, I’m just not very dedicated to the priest ideal. This wanker tried to skate in front of us and grab a chest while we were clearing the guarding gnolls. Thanks to the wonders of linked gnoll aggro, he died at my feet and we received the chest loot that was rightfully ours.

Die, Loser

The alt army was somewhat inattentive the other night (or drunk), so I reminded the warrior of his primary responsibility … saving my sorry priest ass.

taunt dammit

While we were powerleveling our way to victory in Duskwood, I told this whiner noob that he could join our group for some elite quest out at the cemetery. Cue resistance and sarcasm.

kinder and gentler

The one night when I was the babysitter for the level 25-ish alt army …

To the mounts!

(for you Warcraft noobs, characters have to be at least level 40 to get a mount.)

One of our alts is lagging behind the others in levels (a mage — wtf, we don’t need any more DPS toons!), so the one weekend I helped him out by running around Westfall finishing the noob quests. Well, that was my plan, mostly I ran around sheeping mobs for sport.

Baaaaaaa

Deliver THAT message to your villainous overlord Edwin VanCleef! I’ll be down to school him again in about two hours.

  1. heh ah the wonders of the westfall quests, those were fun, i loved fighting those harvest golems, i wish they’d put huge versions of those in some lvl 50ish zone, would be neat.

  2. Ha! Aye, that makes it even harder to get nice things – Chinese farmers go where the majority of players are . . . 🙂
