I think I might know one of the agenda items for the Blizzard Collective Thursday morning meeting: this locked and bolted thread, now buried on page nine, involving a couple of Alliance goofballs that were having their way with any hapless horde that wandered past Tarren Mill.
The goofballs had their toons repeatedly sucked into the middle of Tarren Mill (a Horde shithole) and, then, suspended 2,000 or so feet into the air and dropped. If that’s a bug, it’s one helluva bug, and, to hit three separate toons simultaneously? That’s an easter egg you don’t wanna find.
Blizzard responded in the last reply before lock, Lead GM Dalyce wrote:
We take all allegations of GM Abuse very seriously. Please email WoWGMFeedback-US@Blizzard.com with the details of your situation. Unfortunately, the forums are not the appropriate place to discuss such issues.
Again with the “forums aren’t the appropriate place to discuss this” bullshit. Not sure why in the world that wouldn’t be the obvious place to discuss that — but, I’m not a big fan of using a game company’s own forums to discuss issues anyways. Their house, their rules.
(And what is with this company and the 40 billion email addys? billing@ blizzard.com, wowtech@ blizzard.com, hacks@ blizzard.com, WoWGMFeedback-US@ blizzard.com, omgfixmyserver@ blizzard.com, thisquestcansuckmeoff@ blizzard.com, auctionhouseatemyitems@ blizzard.com. It’s endless.)
Reply #107 and #111 recount the now-legendary incident in EverQuest when a GM summoned several players to their (repeated) deaths in Veeshan’s Peak … thus, begatting the colorful expression “going Veeshan on someone.”
Bug or another Veeshaning? We may never know.
Perhaps their haxoring attempt went awry: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?FN=wow-general&T=1193655&P=1

Good find. I admit … I have no idea what is going on there. Hack? Quest? Fotoshoppe?
Dunno what’s going on, but nice that they got the shot – they probably found a way to exploit the z-axis position communication to the server. Some numbnut posted the link to the hack in that thread earlier, before editing it out somewhat.
