I thought this type of service was the stuff of myth and legend: Customer service gone shockingly right. Summary: Family purchases Nintendo Wii on launch day, optical drive deteriorates, Nintendo invites family and the errant Wii to the Nintendo campus for a quick exchange. Screenshots or it didn’t happen? Ha! Photos included.

That’s just freakin’ awesome. I wish more companies had such wonderful customer service.
All true. Lots of folks at Amazon in Seattle have gone to the Nintendo CS center or store in Redmond to pick up controllers and nunchucks, cables, and other stuff for their Wiis.
