There’s some frightening stuff going on in this World of Warcraft thread: So does anyone know if celebrities play WoW??, well, besides the obvious … that anyone would care.

The closest thing we have in my town is that Tonya Harding (evil figure skater person) lives in my town.

I sold her boyfriend/husband/whatever he is to her a copy of WoW and a computer at my local Best Buy.

???. !!!. I’d say they only come out at night, but that guy probably uses his voice changer whenever he can.

  5. I recall that SWG had a thread on that topic way back…. I’d posted in it once, so it was on my “subscribed list” that sent me email updates. Then sometime, weeks later, I had 200-odd emails from the thread.

    It seems that the night before Jenna Jameson (sp?) commented on an MTV interview that she was a SWG player.

    Such beautiful chaos.

  6. *shrug* My guild was originally founded by an e-celebrity. Sure the alliance go after him more, but they’ve learned that if he gets ganked our sister guild Panda Attack shows up in force.

  8. I read an interview a while back, in which Dave Chapelle said he played WoW on a regular basis. He didn’t say what his character name or server was, but he’s out there somewhere.

  9. There’s a somewhat famous person in my guild. Not a household name by any means, but I’d heard of him before I met him in game.

  11. I live in a major city where celebrities go in and out all the time (mostly due to Oprah). I don’t personally care, and I have no inclination to meet any of them in person.

    And I’d rather run into some old friends I’ve met in other games on the server I’m playing than these celebs.

  12. Ron Gilbert (the genius behind Monkey Island 1 and 2) plays WoW. He runs a Horde guild on Quel’dorei server called “Threepwood” and plays a Belf hunter called Guybrush with a pet called LeChuck.

    The cartoonist that drew Foxtrot _definitely_ plays, he did a whole story arc on a thinly-disguised WoW.

  15. Kate from Kate’s playground plays wow. More specifically an Undead rogue on the blackhand server. Found a video of her talking about it on Kontraband. Sounds like she even enjoys PvP as well, she says she could kick the intervierer, and his preist’s butt.

    I have also read that he is “addicted to computer games” from a blog I read about the person seeing him on stage for some college.

  30. I played WoW on Archimonde with a shaman named Napster. Never thought twice about the name till one day he brought up the fact that he was Shawn Fanning(the developer of Napster). I didn’t really believe him at first until I asked him a serious question about himself that I had read in an obscure magazine.

It would be bitchin’ if some super beautiful celeb (i.e Jessica Simpson, SWG) openly played WoW, without giving her info and whatnot, because that would just be such a contradiction to the idea that good looking women play WoW. I can’t help but feel like a friendless loser-girl when I play because of the bad rep! I know I’m pretty though, and have a life, and even some of my own real friends who play, too. I just like the game. And it’s even worse because I play a blood elf, and people that play BE’s are ridiculed a lot. My guild didn’t even expect me to do well raiding when they realized in vent that I am, in fact, a girl. It’s not like I’m this crazy feminist gamer, but it’d be nice to prove that other cute girls play WoW, too. But there’s probably a lot more people like me out there than I think : ) That’s why gamers like me need a spokesperson… like Angelina Jolie

  48. mila kunis plays a lvl 70 mage (super hot female). Confirmed in the April issue of complex. her boyfriend maukly calkin also plays. And on my server, Mia Rose (pornstar) plays alot. I’ve pugged Kara with her.

  50. I heard an interview with Masha Kirilenko (wife of NBA star Andrei Kirilenko) this morning and she says Andrei has 5 or 6 level 70’s on Thorium Brotherhood and Silvermoon. She didn’t give toon names or faction though 🙁 but she did say none of them are rogues…
