Patch Side Effects

I’m going to love this side effect of patching in expansion content pre-expansion: opposite faction gear (for now) dropping in the 40-man instances. (To wit: WoW Forums – Judgement Crown drop for Horde?) For those who don’t/haven’t played WoWarcraft, Horde can’t be paladins; Alliance can’t be shaman. Until the expansion that is, when Horde can be paladins and Alliance can be shaman. Pre-this patch, Horde raids didn’t loot paladin-only gear and Alliance didn’t loot shaman-only gear. Now they can. End of Lesson. Seriously, why bother raiding anymore. Pulling opposite faction gear off Onyxia is one thing (4 trash pulls), pulling it off of Ragnaros or Nefarian is quite another (multi-hour clears of the entire zone to get to each).   1. I’m taking advantage of the free respec and gonna have some fun with my priest in shadow, especially as theres no raiding for me atm anyway. Which meant I laughed at that^

  2. I will live vicariously though you Gemma. The side effect from my patching was “unable to validate game version.” No WoW for me until they have a fix. So make sure you post all the juicy details of your priestly fun.

  3. I’m not convinved you’re missing all that much… I ended up levelling a lowbie as my main realm kept throwing me off after 30seconds, but i didnt find this out til 3minutes of lag later…

    apparently everyone was in the bgs causing the lag, I didnt even get there hahaha! so far I LOVE the auto-loot (my little finger is saved!) and the self-buff feature – this makes such a difference when soloing healing classes.

    So I’ve had fun looting and buffing… simple pleasures!

  4. I have had my fun running every spyware known to mankind, reinstalling WoW, and trying every work around that has been posted. I have also been playing Nightfall which is a lot of fun and a nice change of pace.

  5. I hear the Warlock is even more over powered that before. I’m still on hiatus but my son grabbed my lock and respec her Shadow Fury and is killing people with 1 or 2 hits. The priest forums are up in arms, so when I do come back I doubt it will be as my priest.
