I don’t want to be an alarmist, but I think the World of Warcraft servers are UNDER ATTACK!

Roughly 30 servers of the 100+ total have been taken out in this precedented assault.

I’m willing to blame Muslim extremists — maybe as their funding has dwindled, they’re now focusing on Western entertainment sources.

Or they’re just torked off at the login queues. One or the other.

UPDATE: They’re trying to take out the Warcraft forums too! Will the Axis of Evil stop at nothing to destroy our way of life, real or otherwise?!?

Why are the servers down? Is Blizzard unable to get the raw power to keep them running or have parallel backups? Sony knows how the game works, and even since the original Everquest, all of their MMO launches have launched…
