   And let that be a lesson to you future world leaders: nothing pulls a country out of a depression like ginormous defense spending.

   Not dead yet, although, at times, I have wished I was.

   Vacay for a week, now on the road for work. And, as I have discovered, vacationers/business travelers are only allowed a MAXIMUM of 120 seconds per day of alone time.

   Most days, I spent my 120 seconds running two miles away from all humans so that I could have a smoke without fear of wafting a puff or two of secondhand carcinogens on others. Other days … well, never mind that.

   At any rate, even this whirlwind tour of the United States can’t last forever, and I’ll be drinking alone again very soon.
