If you’re fully attached to the Warcraft crackpipe, you probably spend hours scouring the web for tips and info (maybe cheats too) to enhance and streamline your grinding gaming experience. You have thottbot as your start page, DON’T YOU?!?!?!
You won’t find anything useful, or pertinent, here, junkie.
Although my days of scouring the web for MMOG spoilers and template planners are long over, I still enjoy skimming message boards for developing drama and posters that are (sometimes unintentionally) amusing.
Some WoW posts you might have missed:
– This dude trains an elite mob through the noob zones. Heh, this prank is a classic and I never tire of it. Also humorous is all the goody-fucking-goodies calling the dude a griefer. Let’s be clear about this: repeatedly killing a player until they are reduced to tears is griefing. Anything short of that is a prank. (Screenshots included. — Blizzard’s response is post #314)
– Remember few days ago I wrote about the Haves and the Have Nots in gaming? … how the Haves usually keep their big mouths shut so as not to draw the ire of the nerf gods. One of the WoW Haves posted a satirical request for a self-nerf. The best reply is post #3 by Nurd of the Blackrock server: “Rogues are the only class dumb enough to come to the boards trying to nerf themselves.” Heh. (Blizzard response is post #6)
– Lyte of the Proudmoore server called Tyren (Blizz guy) to task for using pretzel logic in his responses. The original post is quite articulate and thoughtful, and a bit amusing … especially considering the author has 6 pages of posts and is a level 60 priest … NOT THAT THERE’S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Zealotry is good, in the right hands. (Tyren’s response is post #5)
And if you think you could do better in responding to the rabid masses, Blizzard is looking for an Online Community Representative, whatever that is.
Sounds like fun, if your idea of fun is choking back your anger every day.
That’s some great stuff. The lead some strong baddies into town is definitely a classic. I’ve sworn MMOGs off but I love reading your stuff. WoW sure looks like the crack pipe everyone says it is. If you don’t mind, I’ll just get a contact buzz here.
